Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
MyHabits.io (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website https://myhabits.io/ and the related habit-tracker products. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We do not sell your data, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Account data: when you sign up after a purchase, we store your email address and a Firebase Authentication account. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your email and basic profile information from Google.
- Purchase data: our payment providers (Stripe and Razorpay) process your card or UPI details directly — we never see or store full payment information. We do store an order record (provider, order/session ID, amount, plan, your email) for fulfilment and tax purposes.
- Habit data: if you use the online tracker, the habits you enter and their daily check-ins are stored under your account in Firebase Firestore so they sync across devices.
- First-party analytics: our own lightweight analytics records anonymous page views and basic events (e.g., which checkout option was used). It uses a random anonymous ID stored in your browser's local storage. It does not use cookies and is not shared with any third party.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referrer) needed to operate and secure the site. IP addresses used for analytics are hashed.
How we use it
- To deliver the product you purchased (account creation, tracker access, PDF / Sheets template delivery).
- To process payments and issue receipts, refunds, and tax invoices.
- To send transactional emails — purchase confirmation, signup link, account notices. We don't send marketing emails unless you opt in.
- To understand basic usage of the site so we can improve the product.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data necessary with these service providers, only to operate the service:
- Stripe — international payment processing.
- Razorpay — payment processing for customers in India.
- Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), and hosting infrastructure.
- Google Sheets / Drive — used to deliver the Sheets template to buyers of that plan.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies and storage
We don't use third-party advertising cookies. We do store small items in your browser:
- A random anonymous ID in local storage, for first-party analytics.
- A session ID in session storage, cleared when you close the tab.
- Firebase Authentication tokens, so you stay signed in.
Data retention
We keep your account and order records for as long as you have an active account, and afterwards only as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years for tax records). Analytics events are retained in aggregated form. You can request deletion of your account and habit data at any time by emailing support@myhabits.io.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@myhabits.io from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Children
MyHabits.io is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, restricted server-side access, and webhook signature verification on payments. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to limit what we collect so there's less to put at risk.
International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries outside your own (for example, the United States or the EU). By using MyHabits.io you consent to such transfers, subject to the safeguards each provider has in place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and — for significant changes — notify account holders by email.
